Description

This Sweet and Spicy Baked Cauliflower recipe is a delicious and healthy dish that combines the flavors of soy sauce, honey, sriracha, and garlic to create a flavorful glaze for roasted cauliflower. Perfect as a side dish or light meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

Spice Mixture:

  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish:

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, sriracha, rice vinegar, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat the cauliflower: Add cauliflower florets to the bowl and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Bake: Spread the cauliflower on the baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve: Transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more sriracha or red pepper flakes.
  • To make it vegan, use maple syrup instead of honey.
  • Can be served as a side dish, appetizer, or over rice for a light meal.
