- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch

For the stir-fry:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
- ½ cup beef broth or water
- Cooked white rice, for serving
Instructions
- Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and rice vinegar. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Prepare the stir-fry: Sear marinated beef in a hot skillet until browned. Set aside. Stir-fry bell peppers, onions, and garlic. Return beef to the pan, season with black pepper, and add beef broth. Cook until sauce thickens.
- Serve: Enjoy the pepper steak over steamed white rice.
