Ingredients
Scale
Pasta
- 8 oz fettuccine
Seafood
- 1 salmon fillet, skinless
- 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
Sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook Salmon: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper on both sides. Cook the salmon for 4-5 minutes per side until it flakes easily with a fork. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Cook Shrimp and Garlic: In the same skillet, add the shrimp and minced garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through, about 3 minutes.
- Prepare Alfredo Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer in the skillet with the shrimp. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Combine Pasta and Seafood with Sauce: Add the cooked fettuccine, shrimp, and flaked salmon back into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to coat everything evenly with the sauce.
- Serve: Transfer the pasta to serving plates and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best melting and flavor.
- Be careful not to overcook the salmon or shrimp to maintain tender texture.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream, but the sauce will be less rich.
- Fresh parsley adds a nice color contrast and freshness. You can substitute with basil or chives if preferred.
- To make this recipe gluten free, use gluten-free fettuccine pasta.
