Scale
Crust and Base
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup creamy natural peanut butter
Topping
- 1 cup creamy natural peanut butter
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare the Base Mixture – In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and 1 cup of creamy natural peanut butter. Stir the ingredients together thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and uniform in texture.
- Press Into Pan – Transfer the mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Use the back of a spoon or spatula to press and flatten the mixture into an even layer to form the base of the bars.
- Melt Chocolate and Peanut Butter – In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the remaining 1 cup of creamy peanut butter and 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips. Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until fully melted and smooth without lumps.
- Spread Topping – Pour the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture evenly over the prepared graham cracker base in the pan. Use a spatula to smooth it out evenly across the surface.
- Chill to Set – Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for 1 to 2 hours until the bars are firm and the topping is set.
- Cut Into Bars – Once firm, remove from the fridge and use a sharp knife to cut into 54 small bars or your preferred size for serving.
- Store and Serve – Keep the bars stored in the fridge or freezer to maintain firmness and serve chilled for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Use natural creamy peanut butter for the best texture and flavor.
- Store bars tightly covered to prevent drying out or absorbing fridge odors.
- The powdered sugar amount can be adjusted for sweetness preference.
- If you prefer larger bars, simply cut into fewer pieces.
- Can be stored in the freezer for longer preservation—just thaw slightly before serving.
