Description

Deliciously crispy Parmesan Cauliflower Bites roasted to golden perfection, seasoned with smoky paprika and garlic powder. These low-carb, vegetarian bites make a perfect appetizer or side dish, served warm with marinara or ranch dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

Cauliflower Bites

  • 1 medium head cauliflower (cut into bite-sized florets)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Garnish and Serving

  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Marinara or ranch for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the oven and baking sheet: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  2. Toss the cauliflower with seasonings: In a large bowl, combine the bite-sized cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss thoroughly until every floret is evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  3. Roast the cauliflower: Spread the seasoned cauliflower evenly on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, allowing the cauliflower to start tenderizing and roasting.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese and continue roasting: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the cauliflower. Toss gently to coat the florets with the cheese, then return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and golden with crispy edges.
  5. Garnish and serve: Once roasted, garnish the cauliflower bites with fresh chopped parsley if desired. Serve the warm bites with your favorite dipping sauce such as marinara or ranch for a flavorful snack or appetizer.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the cauliflower for the last 2 minutes of cooking, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • Add red pepper flakes to the seasoning mix before roasting for a spicy kick.
  • These bites are best served warm for optimal texture and flavor.
  • Make sure to cut the cauliflower into evenly sized florets to ensure uniform roasting.
