Ingredients
Scale
For the Dough and Filling
- 2 cans (16.3 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough (e.g., Pillsbury Grands)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1½ cups blueberry pie filling
- ¾ cup fresh blueberries
For the Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prep the Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously grease a bundt pan with butter or nonstick spray to ensure the monkey bread releases easily after baking.
- Cut and Coat the Dough: Cut each biscuit into four pieces. In a medium bowl or a resealable bag, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Toss the biscuit pieces in this mixture until each piece is fully coated.
- Layer the Ingredients: Begin layering the coated biscuit pieces in the prepared bundt pan. After adding a layer of biscuit pieces, spoon over some blueberry pie filling and sprinkle fresh blueberries on top. Repeat this layering process until all biscuits, pie filling, and fresh blueberries are used, finishing with a topping of blueberry filling and berries.
- Bake: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through. To prevent over-browning, cover the pan loosely with aluminum foil during the last 10 minutes if necessary.
- Cool and Invert: Allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes. Carefully invert the pan onto a serving plate or cake stand, gently releasing the monkey bread.
- Glaze and Serve: While the monkey bread is still warm, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle the glaze evenly over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy the warm, gooey goodness!
Notes
- For best results, use fresh or frozen blueberries that have been thawed and drained.
- Adjust the milk quantity in the glaze to reach desired consistency — thinner for drizzling, thicker for spreading.
- This monkey bread is best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated gently in the microwave.
- You can substitute the blueberry pie filling with other fruit fillings or jams for different flavors.
- Make sure to grease the bundt pan generously to avoid sticking.
