Ingredients
Scale
Chicken
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Marinade
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined to create a flavorful marinade.
- Marinate the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes; for best flavor marinate 2 to 4 hours to allow the chicken to absorb all the delicious seasonings.
- Preheat the grill: Heat your grill to medium-high and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking, ensuring an optimal sear on the chicken.
- Grill the chicken: Remove chicken from marinade letting any excess drip off. Place chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 6 to 7 minutes per side, flipping once, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), ensuring they are cooked through and juicy.
- Rest and serve: Transfer the grilled chicken to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes to redistribute juices. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving to add a pop of color and freshness.
Notes
- This marinade also works well with chicken thighs or drumsticks for variety.
- For extra flavor, reserve a few tablespoons of the marinade before adding raw chicken and use it as a basting sauce while grilling.
- Serve alongside rice, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
