Description

This Marinated Grilled Chicken recipe features tender, juicy chicken breasts soaked in a flavorful mixture of olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, garlic, and aromatic spices. Perfectly grilled to lock in all the taste, it makes a healthy and satisfying main course ideal for summer barbecues or quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined to create a flavorful marinade.
  2. Marinate the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes; for best flavor marinate 2 to 4 hours to allow the chicken to absorb all the delicious seasonings.
  3. Preheat the grill: Heat your grill to medium-high and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking, ensuring an optimal sear on the chicken.
  4. Grill the chicken: Remove chicken from marinade letting any excess drip off. Place chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 6 to 7 minutes per side, flipping once, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), ensuring they are cooked through and juicy.
  5. Rest and serve: Transfer the grilled chicken to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes to redistribute juices. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving to add a pop of color and freshness.

Notes

  • This marinade also works well with chicken thighs or drumsticks for variety.
  • For extra flavor, reserve a few tablespoons of the marinade before adding raw chicken and use it as a basting sauce while grilling.
  • Serve alongside rice, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
