Ingredients
Scale
Lobster Ravioli
- 1 pound fresh lobster meat
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Zest of 1 lemon
Zesty Lemon Butter Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Pinch of salt
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat Water: Preheat a large pot of salted water over high heat to prepare for cooking the lobster ravioli.
- Prepare Filling: Finely chop the fresh lobster meat and mix it with lemon zest, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
- Assemble Ravioli: Lay out wonton wrappers on a clean, flat surface. Place a spoonful of the lobster mixture in the center of each wrapper.
- Seal Ravioli: Moisten the edges of each wonton wrapper with water, fold them over to form ravioli shapes, and press edges firmly to seal.
- Cook Ravioli: Once the water is boiling, carefully drop the ravioli into the pot. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the ravioli float to the surface.
- Make Sauce: In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add lemon juice, heavy cream, and a pinch of salt, then simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- Combine Ravioli and Sauce: Remove the sauce from heat. Using a slotted spoon, transfer cooked ravioli from water to the lemon butter sauce and gently toss to coat evenly.
- Plate and Garnish: Arrange ravioli on plates, drizzle remaining sauce on top, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the wonton wrappers are sealed tightly to prevent filling from leaking during cooking.
- Use fresh lobster meat for the best flavor and texture.
- Adjust lemon juice quantity to your preferred level of zestiness in the sauce.
- This dish pairs well with a crisp white wine or light salad.
- Can be made ahead by assembling ravioli and refrigerating before cooking.
