Ingredients
Scale
Slider Assembly
- 12 slider rolls or small dinner rolls, sliced in half
- ¾ pound sliced roasted turkey breast
- 8 slices cooked bacon, cut in half
- 2 Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1½ cups shredded sharp white cheddar cheese, divided
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Cheese Sauce
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- â…› teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Topping
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
- ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Make the Cheese Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute to eliminate the raw flour taste. Gradually whisk in the whole milk and add garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook, whisking frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3–4 minutes. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and half of the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Assemble Sliders: Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange the bottom halves of the slider rolls evenly in the dish. Layer the sliced roasted turkey over the rolls, then top with tomato slices and halved bacon pieces.
- Add Cheese Sauce and Cheese: Spoon the warm cheese sauce evenly over the layered ingredients in the slider rolls. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top to ensure a rich, cheesy crust when baked.
- Top and Prepare Sliders for Baking: Place the top halves of the slider rolls over the filled bottoms. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Brush this mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls for added flavor and a golden finish.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to heat through and melt the cheese.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve the sliders warm for the best flavor experience.
