Puff Pastry:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
Cheese Mixture:
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder or cayenne
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Other:
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional: sesame seeds or nigella seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Cheese Mixture: In a small bowl, combine mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, cilantro, garam masala, red chili powder, cumin, and salt.
- Assemble: Unfold the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Sprinkle the cheese mixture over half the pastry sheet. Fold the other half over the top and press lightly to seal.
- Cut and Twist: Cut into 1/2-inch strips. Twist each strip gently and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake: Brush the twists with beaten egg, sprinkle with seeds if desired, and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.

- Best served warm but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or green chili to the cheese mix.
