  3. Add Pan Drippings: Gradually whisk in the reserved pan drippings to the roux. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer the gravy, whisking constantly, until it thickens to a smooth consistency, approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
