Description

These Fluffy and Soft Dinner Rolls are a perfect addition to any meal, with their light and airy texture and buttery flavor. They are easy to make and will impress your family and friends with their homemade goodness.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

For Brushing:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Add melted butter, egg, and salt. Gradually add flour, knead until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
  2. Shape the Rolls: Divide dough, shape into balls, and place in a baking dish. Let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
  3. Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake rolls for 18–20 minutes until golden. Brush with melted butter.

Notes

  • For extra richness, substitute half of the milk with heavy cream.
  • These rolls can be made ahead—shape them and refrigerate overnight before the final rise and bake the next day.
