Ingredients
Scale
Fresh Produce
- 4-5 peaches, unpeeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup red onion, minced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (can substitute parsley)
- 2 jalapeno peppers, seeds and membranes removed, minced
Seasonings
- 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients. Place the peaches, red onion, red bell pepper, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeños, salt, and black pepper into a large mixing bowl. Gently stir until all components are well incorporated and the flavors start to meld.
- Chill Salsa. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the salsa for up to 24 hours. This resting time allows the flavors to deepen and fully develop, enhancing the overall taste before serving.
Notes
- For a milder salsa, reduce the amount of jalapeños or omit them entirely.
- You can substitute cilantro with parsley if preferred or if you dislike the taste of cilantro.
- This salsa is best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours for optimal flavor.
- Peaches should be ripe but firm to maintain texture in the salsa.
- Great served with tortilla chips, grilled meats, or as a topping for tacos.
