Description

A fresh and vibrant Southern Peach Salsa that combines sweet peaches with spicy jalapeños, tangy lime juice, and crisp vegetables for a delightful and easy-to-make salsa perfect for summer gatherings or as a versatile condiment.

Ingredients

Scale

Fresh Produce

  • 4-5 peaches, unpeeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, minced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (can substitute parsley)
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeds and membranes removed, minced

Seasonings

  • 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients. Place the peaches, red onion, red bell pepper, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeños, salt, and black pepper into a large mixing bowl. Gently stir until all components are well incorporated and the flavors start to meld.
  2. Chill Salsa. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the salsa for up to 24 hours. This resting time allows the flavors to deepen and fully develop, enhancing the overall taste before serving.

Notes

  • For a milder salsa, reduce the amount of jalapeños or omit them entirely.
  • You can substitute cilantro with parsley if preferred or if you dislike the taste of cilantro.
  • This salsa is best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours for optimal flavor.
  • Peaches should be ripe but firm to maintain texture in the salsa.
  • Great served with tortilla chips, grilled meats, or as a topping for tacos.
