- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup water

- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 1 bell pepper (chopped)
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chiles (drained)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For Garnish:
- Chopped green onions or cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook Beef: Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain excess grease, add taco seasoning and water, simmer until thickened.
- Prepare Biscuit Base: Press biscuit dough into the baking dish, bake until partially set.
- Make Creamy Layer: Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, cheeses, garlic powder, and pepper in a bowl.
- Layer Casserole: Spread beef over biscuit base, top with tomatoes, onions, bell pepper, and the creamy mixture. Finish with remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly. Rest before slicing.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with green onions or cilantro before serving.
