- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup pasta cooking water (reserved)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- juice of 1/2 lemon
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Boil pasta until al dente, reserve pasta water, and set aside.
- Cook the shrimp: Saute shrimp in olive oil until cooked; set aside.
- Prepare the sauce: Saute garlic, add butter, cream, and Parmesan; simmer until smooth.
- Combine: Toss cooked pasta, sauce, and shrimp together, finish with lemon juice and parsley.
