Penne Pasta:

  • 12 oz penne pasta

Chicken:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)

Sauce:

  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • chopped fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook the Penne Pasta: Boil the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken: In a skillet, cook chicken pieces in olive oil until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter, sauté garlic, whisk in flour, pour in chicken broth, add cream, Parmesan, and seasoning. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Combine and Serve: Return chicken to the skillet, add cooked penne, toss to coat. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
