Penne Pasta:
- 12 oz penne pasta
Chicken:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
Sauce:
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1½ cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- salt and black pepper to taste
- chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Penne Pasta: Boil the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Chicken: In a skillet, cook chicken pieces in olive oil until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter, sauté garlic, whisk in flour, pour in chicken broth, add cream, Parmesan, and seasoning. Simmer until thickened.
- Combine and Serve: Return chicken to the skillet, add cooked penne, toss to coat. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
