Ingredients
Scale
Crescent Dough
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
Filling
- 1/2 cup crab meat (canned, fresh, or imitation)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Garnish
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent dough and separate the individual triangles carefully for easy filling.
- Mix Filling: In a medium bowl, combine crab meat, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined and creamy.
- Fill Crescents: Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the crab mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle, distributing evenly.
- Roll Crescents: Starting from the wide end, gently roll up each crescent towards the point. Press and seal the edges securely to prevent filling from escaping during baking.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart to allow for expansion.
- Bake: Bake the crescents in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown and the dough is crispy.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from oven and let the crescents cool slightly for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, then serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh crab meat for the best flavor, although canned or imitation crab works well.
- Adjust the amount of garlic powder and black pepper according to taste preferences.
- Serve these crescent delights warm for optimal taste and texture.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
- Ensure edges are well sealed to avoid filling leaking during baking.
