- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- Cinnamon-sugar mixture for topping (1 tablespoon sugar + 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan. In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugars. Add eggs, vanilla, melon purée, and sour cream, mixing well.
- Combine and Bake: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Fold in nuts, if using. Pour into the pan, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar, and bake for 50–60 minutes.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
