Description

These Cheeseburger Burritos Animal Style are a delicious mashup of two American classics – the cheeseburger and the burrito, inspired by the famous In-N-Out burger. Packed with seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, crispy French fries, and all the classic burger toppings, these burritos are a fun and satisfying meal for any cheeseburger lover.

Ingredients

Scale

    Ground Beef Mixture:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • Additional Ingredients:

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • ½ cup diced white onion
  • ½ cup chopped dill pickles
  • ½ cup Thousand Island dressing (or In-N-Out style sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup frozen French fries (cooked and crisped)
  • Optional ketchup for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet, cook ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir in mustard and cook for 1-2 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  2. Prepare Burritos: Warm tortillas, then layer with cheese, beef mixture, fries, lettuce, onions, pickles, and dressing. Roll into burritos.
  3. Cook Burritos: Brown burritos in oil in a skillet, seam-side down, for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  4. Serve: Serve hot with extra sauce or ketchup.

Notes

  • To make it more authentic ‘Animal Style,’ caramelize the onions instead of using them raw.
  • Double-wrap the burrito in grilled tortillas for extra crunch.
  • Use smashed burger patties instead of ground beef for a more classic burger texture.
