Description

This luscious Caramel Apple Fudge combines creamy white chocolate with apple pie pudding and a swirl of rich caramel sauce to create a decadent dessert perfect for fall and holiday celebrations. With hints of cinnamon and vanilla, this easy-to-make fudge delivers the warming flavors of apple pie in a rich, sweet treat that sets beautifully in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant apple pie pudding mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Caramel Swirl

  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Coarse sea salt for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to allow easy removal of the fudge once set.
  2. Melt Chocolate Mixture: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until the mixture is melted smoothly and homogeneous without any lumps.
  3. Add Flavorings: Remove the saucepan from heat. Quickly stir in the instant apple pie pudding mix, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract until everything is evenly incorporated, forming a thick fudge batter.
  4. Layer Fudge and Caramel: Pour half of the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over this first fudge layer. Then pour the remaining fudge mixture on top and spread evenly.
  5. Create Marble Effect: Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top fudge layer and gently swirl with a knife to create a marbled pattern for visual appeal.
  6. Chill to Set: Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours to allow the fudge to firm up completely.
  7. Serve: Once set, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into 36 small squares. Optionally sprinkle with coarse sea salt to enhance the caramel flavor before serving.

Notes

  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week to maintain freshness.
  • For a more pronounced apple flavor, stir in a few tablespoons of dried apple pieces into the fudge mixture before pouring into the pan.
