Ingredients
Scale
Cauliflower Wings:
- 1 medium head of cauliflower (cut into bite-sized florets)
Batter:
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Breading:
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Buffalo Sauce:
- ½ cup buffalo sauce
- 1 tablespoon melted butter or olive oil (optional for sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to make a smooth batter. Coat the cauliflower florets in the batter.
- Bread the cauliflower: Roll each coated floret in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Air fry: Arrange the breaded cauliflower in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
- Prepare the sauce: Heat the buffalo sauce with melted butter or olive oil in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Toss in sauce: Once the cauliflower is cooked, toss the wings in the warm sauce until evenly coated.
- Serve: Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing, celery sticks, and carrots.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, lightly spray the breaded cauliflower with oil before air frying.
- You can use BBQ sauce or teriyaki sauce instead of buffalo for a flavor variation.
