Ingredients
Scale
Wings
- 1 pound chicken wings (split into drummettes and flats)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt & pepper to taste
Buffalo Sauce
- 1/4 cup Frank’s Red Hot Original Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
For Serving
- Blue cheese or ranch dressing
- Celery sticks
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer: Spray your air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray and preheat the air fryer to 400°F to ensure wings cook evenly and develop a crispy texture.
- Prepare the wings: Dry the chicken wings thoroughly using paper towels, then place them in a large bowl. Toss the wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper generously to season and help crisp the skin during cooking.
- Air fry the wings: Arrange the wings in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes at 400°F, then use tongs to flip the wings and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until they are crispy, golden, and cooked through. Adjust time for wing size if necessary.
- Make the buffalo sauce: While the wings cook, melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl by heating in short intervals until fully melted. Stir in Frank’s Red Hot Original Sauce until well combined.
- Toss wings in sauce and serve: Remove cooked wings from the air fryer, add them to the bowl with buffalo sauce, and toss thoroughly to coat each wing. Serve immediately with blue cheese or ranch dressing and celery sticks on the side for a classic buffalo wing experience.
Notes
- Pat the wings dry thoroughly to ensure maximum crispiness.
- If you prefer spicier wings, add more Frank’s Red Hot sauce to the butter mixture.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking and crispiness.
- Serve wings immediately after tossing in the sauce to retain crispiness; longer sitting will soften the skin.
- Use tongs to flip wings safely and easily during cooking.
